Meet Our Staff...
 Dr. Keith Gillming
Senior Pastor
Pastor Keith was instrumental in establishing Lighthouse Baptist Church (formerly known as Dorsett Road Baptist Church) in October of 1982.
On March 21, 1961, Pastor Keith accepted Jesus as Lord of his life in a little church that was started in a garage by his father. During his early teens he felt the Lord calling him to surrender his life to service in ministry.
After graduating from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982, Pastor Keith and Becky moved to St. Louis and began their ministry here. He has continued his education at Covenant Theological Seminary and received his Doctor of Ministries degree in 1998.
Pastor Keith and his wife, Becky have two children, Kit and Keri. Kit has two sons, Owen and Hudson, and Keri and her husband, Scott Riddle, are just starting their family.
Dr. Keith Gillming’s greatest desire is to build Lighthouse Baptist Church for the glory of God, and to share this ministry with his close church family.
Russell McAllister
Associate Pastor
Pastor Russ joined the Lighthouse Baptist Church staff in May of 1995. He worked with our youth for over 8 years. He now serves in the LifeMates (young married) ministry, AWANA Pastor, and many of our outreach ministry events. Russ was saved on August 18,1983 at Dorsett Road Baptist Church.
In 1989, Russ gave his life for full-time service. He entered Baptist Bible College and completed his degree in 1995. Russ and Maria have three children, Keith, Rachel and Nolan.
David Wooten
Music and Worship Pastor
David joined the Lighthouse staff in August 2004 after graduation from Baptist Bible College. He has served as the Music and Worship Pastor, and also as Youth Pastor from 2006-2010. David married Regina in 2004, and they have two children, Josiah and Cadence. David and Regina both sing, and David enjoys playing piano, especially while leading worship.
While David enjoys seeing people passionately worship in the music experience, his desire is to see the church understand that our worship extends beyond the walls of the church. A lifestyle lived for serving God is our greatest act of worship, and our music is an outpouring of our worship. David enjoys blending old with new to make a unified corporate music service. He still believes in choir, and also uses praise teams along with talented instrumentalists that God has given us. David also leads the musical dramas that Lighthouse uses at Christmas and Easter. Shannon Ayers
Secretary/Children’s Director
Shannon joined the staff at Lighthouse Baptist Church in December 2002 as the Church Secretary and the Financial Secretary. In August 2003, she assumed the responsibilities of Children’s Director for our PromiseLand Children’s Program, and now serves alongside her daughter Courtney Shawhan, the current Children’s Director. Shannon was saved at the age of eleven in a Vacation Bible School program in Lawton, OK, where her father was stationed as a Marine. Even after moving to NC, she continued serving and growing in the Lord as a teenager working with children in VBS programs and singing in a local youth choir. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of TN. After working in the aerospace industry for seven years, she married her husband Ron and became a stay- at-home mom for ten years, enjoying raising a family and serving in her church in both children’s ministry and music ministry.
Shannon came to Lighthouse with her family in 1999 and later that year, they joined the church as a family. Her family includes husband Ron and their five children, Caitlin, Courtney, Cameron, Andrew and Riley. They are also blessed to have two sons-in-law, Kevin (Caitlin’s husband) and Patrick (Courtney’s husband), as well as grandson Braden.
Shannon continues to be passionate about children’s ministry and helping kids “increase in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
